Nervous Tingle!
This Saturday sees the second Team S2S training walk and I'm getting a bit tingly in anticipation. If you're a keen follower of this blog, you'll remember that we did 20 miles back in February. Well, we're upping the ante this week with a 34 miler between Mitcheldean and Crickhowell. This is pretty much half the distance of the challenge proper so will be a really good test for us. We've been training hard and we're superbly kitted out, thanks to Cotswold Brecon. Will it be enough? When push comes to shove, will we have enough in the tank, physically and mentally, to nail this walk? Tune in on Sunday to find out!

So, here we go again, this time for half of the total the distance.
ReplyDeleteHowever, as stated we are now all kitted up and I know the boys have been putting in the training - Ollie's climbed mountains, Ken's cycled, Chris has walked loads and Pete's gone so far as to give up the beer (!!)... however I've been checking the weather it seems far from certain what conditions we will be walking in on saturday... will it be a nasty scorcher or a damp wet slog? All we can do is wait.
I think what Adlarddo meant was all we can do is walk. I'm getting nervous about saturday too and i'm glad i'm not the only one. I've never done this sort of mileage and i don't really know many people who have so we'll have to just go for it and hope. If there are no new posts on sunday, you'll know it was harder than we'd expected...
ReplyDeletecome on you bunch of girls it be a walk in the park
